Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes, today announced $3 million from the 2016/17 Victorian Budget will go towards an upgrade to Mansfield Secondary College’s ageing facilities, ensuring students have the modern spaces they need to learn.

Ms Symes said students at Mansfield Secondary College will enjoy more modern buildings, as the Andrews Labor Government continues to make Victoria the Education State.

“This $3million in Labor Government funding will go towards modernisation and upgrade works for school buildings,” Ms Symes said.

“I know Mansfield Secondary College is doing great work – and this funding will help it become even better.

“Students deserve more than the ageing and outdated facilities they have now and this funding will ensure they have the fantastic learning spaces they deserve.”

It’s the latest step in making Victoria the Education State, where every student gets the chance to fulfil their potential and can access a school with great facilities.

Building, fixing, upgrading, and modernising Victoria’s schools, gives our students and teachers the learning environment they need to achieve their best.

Throughout the state, hundreds of new school infrastructure projects are underway, just like the one about to start at Mansfield Secondary College.
