Benalla Gymnastics has been given a boost with the Victorian Government announcing funding for new equipment.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced $67,300 from the Community Support fund to install a new sprung floor at the Benalla Drill Hall.

The current sprung floor was purchased approximately 30 years ago and had been damaged in the 1993, 2009 & 2010 floods that has caused the wooden boards to warp, the metal springs to rust and the foam backed carpet on top has started to break down. The project will replace the old sprung floor with a modern fit for purpose floor.

It is expected that the modernisation of the floor will increase participation and support Benalla’s current and future gymnasts.
