17 May 2017 Myrtleford Times, Myrtleford VIC (General News) LABOR politician Jaclyn Symes has been preselected by her party as a candidate for the 2018 state election. Ms Symes was elected for her first term as a member of parliament in the legislative council for Northern Victoria in 2014and she has thrown her hat in the ring for selection in the same seat again. I would like to thank the many Labor Party members, colleagues and community members who have encouraged me to continue my work representing the best parts of Victoria from Mildura to Corryong to Healesville to Heathcote, she said. She listed the government investing in hospitals, building schools, supporting farmers, creating jobs, boosting tourism and improving transport as some of her mainstay achievements to date.
