Grant to bring the best of the arts

14 Feb 2018 Seymour Telegraph, Seymour VIC (General News) The Tallarook Arts Society has received $11 500 in funding from the Victorian Government through the Small Regional Presenters program. Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes congratulated the arts society and said the funding will help the group with their 2018 program at the Tallarook Mechanics Institute. Running from April to September, the Tallarook Art Societys program includes Anya Anastasias Rogue Romantic, Southern Ocean Sea Bands Blood and Bones and Fins and Glory, as well as Finucane and Smiths Dance Hall. Accompanying programming will include opportunities for the community to participate in Dance Hall and the Southern Ocean Sea Bands performance. Ms Symes said the Victorian Government is supporting local communities so they can host festivals, programs and performances for everyone to enjoy. Grants of between $1500 and $15 000 are available to support programs. The next round will close on March 15 for shows taking place from June 1 onwards.
