ROW OVER MP GIRAFFE HUNT

08 Mar 2018 Herald Sun, Melbourne (General News) A VICTORIAN MP has denied he plans to travel overseas and shoot a giraffe. Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party member Daniel Young came under fire in the Victorian parliament after Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes claimed he said was saving up to bag himself a big game trophy in Africa. Ms Symes told the chamber the conversation had occurred last year and was witnessed by Nationals MP Luke OSullivan. He revealed he was planning to go to Africa to shoot a giraffe, Ms Symes said. I did ask Mr Young why you would want to shoot a giraffe and he said it was similar to shooting a horse. Mr Young denied the plan. I do remember the conversation, he said. Most certainly we talked about hunting in Africa, but I must say there is no planned trip. Caption Text: Victorian MP Daniel YoungLicensed by Copyright Agency.
