State-of-the-art court a winner for Magpies

17 Apr 2018 Shepparton News, Shepparton VIC (General News) by Madeleine Caccianiga Euroas netballers celebrated the official opening of a second court at Euroa Memorial Oval Reserve on Sunday. The new court features an all-weather acrylic surface, lights, a coaches box and an electronic scoreboard. The construction was made possible through a $100 000 Victorian Government Country Football Netball Program grant, a significant fundraising effort by Euroa Football Netball Club and Strathbogie Shire Council. State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes opened the new court. The netball committee studied the best netball courts in the state and their fundraising of more than $60 000 for this new facility was spectacular, Ms Symes said. They left no stone unturned and set the benchmark for other clubs to follow. Ms Symes said the club was the heart of the Euroa community and it deserved facilities that would allow it to grow further. Im sure the netballers will be rapt with the new facilities once constructed as it will allow the Magpies to grow and netballers to train and play day or night.
