Fun run: residents from across the district were out in colour on Sunday at the Dash of Colour Wallan event which raised $6462 for Wings, POKITS and the Creature Future Childrens Program at Wallan. All colours of the rainbow: (from left, front) Kaz Candy, Lynne Hiddle, Tracy Stratford, (from left, front) Stephanie Gray and Makayla Gray had a great day out at the colour run. Family fun: Monika and Doc Nichols from Kilmore had a blast at the Dash of Colour in Wallan. Colour them happy: the 40 minute run and walk Dash of Colour event was well attended by residents of all ages and all abilities. First time at the park: arriving in Australia from England at 5.20am on Saturday morning, brother and sister Layton and Darcey Baldwin visited the Wallan Adventure Playground with their grandparents. Swing time: (from left) brothers Arden, Ripley and Ely Reid made the trip from Avenel to Wallan to play at the park. Three generations: local residents Michelle, Olivia and Kathy Maglicic enjoy some family time at the Adventure Playground. Slide fun: since the parks opening a year ago, Dustin Higgins from Wallan often visits the playground with his parents. Project start: Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes and Mitchell Shire Deputy Mayor David Lowe, turn the first sod on the Wallan Town Centre revitalisation project. Winning by numbers: not a judging panel from the summer Olympics but member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes and councilors Rob Eldridge, Bob Cornish, Bill Chisholm and David Lowe, assisted by a young Wallan resident, showing some local pride.
