$13.7 MILLION BOOST FOR BROADFORD PRIMARY SCHOOL

10 July 2026

Only Labor delivers for regional communities like Broadford – school after school and upgrade after upgrade.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced works have started on close to $13.7 million upgrades for Broadford Primary School.

Students and staff will be learning and teaching in a brand-new arts and science building, and a new administration building, by the end next year.

These state-of-the-art facilities will open new opportunities in STEM and the Arts for students and give hard-working local teachers a better place to work.

A refurbishment of the school's "Block A" will also be complete by the end of next year.

The school’s former library and performing arts building are being demolished to make way for the new buildings.

Labor isn't stopping there – planning is already underway for a new double-storey STEM building at Broadford Secondary College.

Labor has delivered a record 121 new public schools and over 2,400 school upgrades across Victoria.

The Liberals and Nationals want to cut investment in our regional schools from more than 30 per cent to 25 per cent.

They cut $1 billion from education when they were last in power - now they have a $40 billion cuts plan and Victorians know they will cut schools again.
