The Allan Labor Government is giving paramedics in Euroa the resources they need, to do what they do best – save lives.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes today announced that Crow Constructions has been appointed to construct the new, multi-million-dollar Euroa Ambulance Station.

Located centrally near the local school and other emergency services as well as being adjacent to Euroa Health, the new station will deliver state-of-the-art facilities to support our hardworking paramedics and ensure they can respond quickly to local emergencies and save lives.

The new station features a three-bay garage for ambulances, training facilities, a fully equipped kitchen in addition to important features to enhance the comfort and safety of the station’s hardworking paramedics such as two rest areas and long-term accommodation facilities.

One of 15 new stations currently being built, construction of the new Euroa Ambulance Station is on track to start later this year and be completed in 2024.

It is part of the Labor Government’s ongoing support of Ambulance Victoria infrastructure, with $279 million invested since 2015 to deliver 49 ambulance stations, providing better working conditions for paramedics and ensuring lifesaving emergency care is available for all Victorians.

Since coming to Government, more than $2 billion has been invested in our ambulance services and we’re delivering on the all the election commitments we made to the Victorian people with funding in this year’s budget to employ and train 40 new Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance paramedics.

We’re also delivering Australia’s first Paramedic Practitioners with a master’s course at Monash University from 2024, with at least 25 paramedic practitioners trained and on the road by 2026.

A new Centre for Paramedicine at Victoria University is also establishing the next generation of paramedics, providing advanced teaching methods – with a capacity to train around 1,500 paramedic students each year.
