The Carroll Labor Government is building more trains and running more services.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes has announced more train services are arriving for the Seymour and Shepparton lines before the end of the month.

From Sunday, 23 August, more than 400 extra weekly train services will start across the statewide network.

Locally, passengers will benefit from:

• Shepparton Line: An uplift to nine return services every weekday and five return services each Saturday and Sunday.
• Seymour Line: Trains every hour on Saturday and Sunday.
• Craigieburn Line: An extra 115 weekly services, with trains every 20 minutes or better from morning until midnight, seven days a week.

These extra services are possible because Labor has invested in Victoria's rail network, with projects like the Shepparton line upgrade.  

The Liberal-Nationals have already promised to cut train services as part of their $40 billion cuts plan. If that's what they'll cut on day one, imagine what's next.

Only Labor can be trusted to invest in building more trains and running them more often.
